Founded in 1980, RedR UK is a humanitarian organisation that trains aid workers, communities and organisations in preparation for humanitarian crises of every sort, particularly in lower income countries.
Since 2018, The JTI Foundation has supported RedR’s work in the Middle East and North Africa, helping to build the knowledge and skills of individuals and organisations, with a mission to promote more effective humanitarian action.
In a turbulent world, the need for the kind of training RedR delivers has never been more pressing.
Support from the JTI Foundation enables RedR to build the internal capacity that is critical to achieving the scale and quality of impact required in an increasingly complex humanitarian landscape.
The JTI Foundation’s partnership will enable more effective, sustainable and impactful delivery of RedR’s programs over the long-term, also allowing RedR to attract and retain the best talent in the sector.
Direct beneficiaries comprise the 230-plus Associate Trainers and expert consultants who manage and deliver RedR’s programs. A further 7,000 or more participants in RedR’s programs will benefit from the provision of higher quality and more relevant training.
Finally, a more robust financial position will allow RedR to better respond to the immediate needs of its clients, while developing a more strategic approach to investing in its training courses and workshops.
