Our mission
The Foundation’s mission is to foster communities around the world that are safe and more resilient to disasters. We invest with our partners in long-term risk-reduction programs that raise community awareness and improve basic infrastructure. Our mission also includes support for our partners in responding to the immediate needs of communities affected by disasters of all kinds around the world.

Where we work
As the severity and frequency of natural disasters intensifies, the reach of the Foundation continues to grow. In addition to our long-term commitment to disaster-preparedness projects on almost every continent, we have recently supported our partners’ emergency aid interventions in countries as diverse as Morocco, Sudan, Turkey, Ukraine, Malawi, Italy and Brazil.
