FETAG-RS’s response is to empower families in Rio Grande do Sul by distributing basic but essential agricultural inputs, including seeds, fertilizer and tools. With JTI Foundation support, FETAG-RS is providing:
• 10,000 people with a personal hygiene kit;
• 5,000 farmers with a farming starter kit comprising: 10 fruit tree seedlings, 50 vegetable seedlings, 100kg of fertilizer, 100kg of limestone, two hoes and a shovel.
Taken together, these will enable communities to rapidly restart food production on their own land, mitigating food shortages and boosting their resilience and sense of autonomy.
