The Foundation’s mission is to foster communities around the world that are safe, sustainable, and more resilient to natural and man-made disasters. We invest with our partners in long-term risk-reduction programs that raise community awareness and improve basic infrastructure. Our mission also includes support for our partners in responding to the immediate needs of communities affected by disasters of all kinds around the world.
The JTI Foundation (Die JTI Stiftung) is a charitable organization registered under Swiss law and financially endowed by JT International SA. Set up in 2001, it is a member of SwissFoundations – the association of Swiss grant-making foundations.

Our approach

- We support Disaster Relief initiatives, but our main focus is on Disaster Risk Reduction.
- We consider Disaster Risk Reduction a critical element of every sustainable development program.
